About GekkoVet
GekkoVet was founded in Helsinki, Finland with a single premise: veterinary clinical decision support should be built on structured, peer-reviewed evidence — not on probabilistic AI outputs.
Over 8 years, our veterinary team has created a clinical knowledge base covering approximately 1,000 conditions and 37,000+ symptom-diagnosis combinations. Its core is a unique and proprietary dataset that has been validated against scientific literature of more than 80,000 pages of peer-reviewed medical references. Every entry is validated by practising DVMs and pharmacists.
Today, GekkoVet serves as the clinical intelligence layer for veterinary platforms and insurers — providing the structured veterinary knowledge that these organisations need but cannot build on their own timelines.

The knowledge base
The GekkoVet clinical knowledge base is the core asset of the company. It is not a dataset scraped from the internet or generated by a language model. It is a structured, validated body of veterinary clinical knowledge built by veterinary professionals over 8 years.
Sources include peer-reviewed veterinary journals, pharmacology databases, and specialist clinical references. Every symptom-diagnosis relationship, drug dosing recommendation, and treatment protocol has been reviewed and validated by DVMs and pharmacists with direct clinical experience.
The knowledge base is continuously maintained. New conditions, updated treatment guidelines, and revised drug information are added on an ongoing basis by the veterinary research team.
